Our Story

The idea for Booklit was born at bedtime. With two little ones just 26 months apart, story time became both a joy and a challenge. We wanted to read to them in comfort, but traditional lamps kept the room too bright. While tablets and laptops weren’t an option, we wanted to keep radiation and distractions away from our kids.

That’s when the lightbulb moment happened: what if a book could glow on its own?

From there, Illuminated Kids’ Books came to life—“Bedtime stories that glow with magic.” Printed on luminous, durable plexiglass, they’re more than stories: they’re heirlooms designed to be cherished and handed down from one generation to the next. Unlike ordinary paper books that wear, fade, or get lost, these illuminated keepsakes stand the test of time.

Soon after, another need appeared. Hanging photos of our children was wonderful, but when night fell, those cherished images disappeared into darkness. That inspired Illuminated Picture Frames—“Memories that shine forever.” Designed to glow beautifully day or night, each frame can even be controlled with a single remote—turn on one or dozens at once, effortlessly.

And because every family has its own story, we expanded into Customized Illuminated Albums—“Your story, your photos, glowing for generations.”—and Customized Illuminated Picture Frames—“Transform your special photo into a work of light.” These can be tailored for life’s most meaningful milestones—whether it’s a child’s first birthday, a keepsake of first love, a glowing proposal, or an unforgettable wedding album.
